I have many things to be thankful for, but last night it was for my wonderful husband who entertained Jimmy and put him to bed without a peep so that I could watch the Tony Awards undisturbed. They literally disappeared for awhile and the next thing I knew they were both asleep (which is rare in our house). I have loved watching The Tony's since grade school since theatre is such an important part of my life. Not every year is a winner, but I was entertained this year. However, it makes me feel so out of the loop on things that I used to consider a staple in my diet (I mean I didn't even know that Green Day made a musical). But seeing as I am so out of the loop on current events in the news, I would feel a little guilty if I knew all there was to know about Broadway and didn't know the latest on the oil spill. Thank you dear Zach for giving me just one night of peace and reminding me a little of what life was like in days gone by.
What a treat! I didn't know Green Day made a musical either. I wasn't able to watch, but based on the clips online this is the most out of touch I've ever been with Broadway. Hope you're feeling better soon!
ReplyDeleteYESSS...American Idiot but from what I hear from my showbiz friends, the music ain't so hot...but you never know.
ReplyDeleteI wish I could watch the Tonys with you.
