The boys woke up bright and early to see what the Easter Bunny left for them this year.
Candy, cars, and a new kite!
After discovering the treasure in their Easter Baskets it was time for the hunt.
Jimmy discovered that our Jesus in the tomb was gone.
It was assumed the Easter Bunny had something to do with this.
The Bunny also left a message on our chalkboard.
The post-hunt egg emptying and sorting:
.... and a little eating, too, of course.
Then we ate our first breakfast of the day, Easter Bunny cinnamon rolls.
Well, I should have made the ears a little narrower so they looked a little more like Mickey Mouse once they came out of the oven.
(However, this could be an idea for an easy pre-Disneyland breakfast someday).
After this, we rushed to get ready for Church. We had a lovely outdoor mass at St. Thomas and got to sit by all of our cousins and lots of friends. I took zero pictures because we sort of lost track of everyone in the post-mass exodus. My dad came over for second breakfast (a mostly failed attempt at Crockpot Strata). Zach's cousins flew in from Wisconsin around noon so we waited to have an afternoon meal with them. Things were very busy and I was too distracted to take pictures, but it was a nice meal and we were so happy to have family in town to enjoy it with us. My dad did take a few family photos for us right after church before everyone got disheveled. The boys don't have shoes on, but oh well. It took quite a few attempt to get anything decent, but here are a few of my favorites:
Hope everyone had a happy and blessed Easter!
