We love saying that because Mack in the movie Cars says it and also it is a lyric from the Phantom Planet song "California" which is one of Jimmy's favorites. We left on a Friday evening and made it to CA around midnight. The next morning we went with Nano, Nana, and Aunt Angie to a park near Angie's apartment.
We went for the fun playground, but we happened to come during a Fire Fighter's Festival. We lucked out.
There was an antique truck to take pictures on and another that gave free rides around the park.
The boys also got to have their first ever pony rides.
Afterwords, we stopped at In-N-Out for burgers and shakes.
They have had these in Phoenix for years now, but I still love going in California.
That evening was the reason for it all: Angie's Graduation from Med School.
I dressed Nora up in her little sailor dress and she looked so cute with Nano in his Army uniform.
The boys were in their Hawaiian shirts (and as you can see they were having so much fun).
We got to sit really close so that was nice. Angie walked right past on her way up.
Nano was asked to swear in the students that are in the Armed Forces.
We are all so proud of her!!!
Gus thought this meant Aunt Angie would be his doctor now, but we had to explain that she wasn't going to be at our doctor's office.
We did tell him that she can be his doctor when she comes to visit.

After the reception we had a fancy dinner at a favorite spot of Angie's called Abricot.
We had a private room that had awesome walls made out of books and old window panes.
We got a lot of food....
We were full and exhausted, but went home to go get ready for another fun filled day of celebrating.
