Aunt Nat came for a visit to be Francie's godmother!
Both parties were very excited to finally meet...
Francie just doesn't always show her joy.
Francie did have a great time going to Postino for a little wine and she smiled about that...
She wasn't so sure about posing for a picture with her siblings though...
The baptism was an extra special occasion because Francie got to share the day with Edward (the fifth child for our good friends Suzanne and Doug) and Zach and I got to be his godparents. Father Boulding said the baptism at St. Thomas with just friends and family.
Both babies were the first in their families to cry during the ceremony.
Not sure who started it, but we think they were just trying to relate to one another.
I was very excited that my own Godson, Jack, could be Godfather, to my own daughter.
Francie was sort of losing it by picture time...
But she did calm down enough to get a few outside
Look at this angelic little face. So holy!
Then everyone came back to our house for a little party...
Mimi was quite popular with all the little girls...
And Francie was popular with everyone else...
Especially with that lovely chrism smell...
Edward slept through most of the party so we didn't get to get any great shots of the babies together.
Suzanne and I were happy to get our babies dressed up again later that week and attempt to get some good pictures of them together for posterity. Here is what we got:
This one might be my favorite...
Neither of them were all about it...
But we got it done and that is what matters.
After we took them out of their gowns we got a couple more cute ones...
Baptism is such a gift and we were so blessed to share it with so many special people.
You still get to be the godparents!
